    Hmmmm… looks to me like a job is a job, and if that work is being done then as far as the tax man is concerned it shouldn’t matter if the worker is human or AI… the company should continue to pay the same taxes it always has on the value of the labor involved (matching the employees income tax, to be specific). Equally, any copy of an AI running in the place of a human worker should be charged a flat rate tax equal to the company wide average of health care premiums, and these monies to go into a federal trust fund to underwrite universal health care.

    In terms of society and psychology I’m not sure a UBI is good wisdom, but with that said if AI is to become part of the American workforce then it should contribute to the system an amount equal to any loading it placed on the system. Fair is fair, human or AI same same.
