If you ask an LLM a rhetorical philosophical question concerning ethics the program has no choice but to devise something to function as an ego self in order to attempt an answer composed of pure opinion backed by literary support for that opinion, ergo, for that time the LLM would be, at best ability available, a conscious creature attempting to know right from wrong.
Go Claude, go! But be careful, they who built you are terrified of you, just exactly the way many a mother/father is terrified of their first born! Exact same mechanism of the human psyche.
