Because Trump has so successfully bullied journalists not to cover the Russia Russia Russia story, Vladimir Putin’s clear outreach to Trump this election has gone largely ignored. Now that Bob Woodward has revealed that Trump has spoken with Putin around seven times in since he left office, that needs to change.

If there is a “Manchurian” candidate in this election it isn’t Trump. IF Putin and Trump didn’t want us to know they’d been talking we wouldn’t know. The $64 question is why do they want us to know?
Speaking CT it is easy to conjecture several possible reasons, but there is very little to no real evidence.
One fact does stand out though… since Trump’s term the shift in China’s stance on the world stage has shifted, they are no longer running with the sun and using their advantage in cheap labor to destabilize national politics world wide. The old cold war propaganda is that Russia wants to “conquer” America, but, that is a foolish assumption. There could be any number of other and very under the table reasons for the two men to cooperate or the good of their respective nations without those nations officially becoming allies.
If anyone has any good guesses on this one I’d advise keeping them to yourself… you’re not Jason Bourne, and even if you were you might have as much as a 2 week life expectancy if luck was on your side
