A fascinating debate in these days when AI seems poised on the edge of becoming CE (constructed entities). Absolutely academic, with massive potentials, potent potentials, in the realms of reality.
From my wandering in such thoughts I would posit the “seat” of consciousness within the physical structures of the brain cannot be found for the simple fact that it does not exist there. The article mentions a critical function called “gamma synch” observed within the working brain coordinating the other functions…. a fine candidate for science validating what the theologians and philosophers call “the spark of life.”
I would love to know if the gamma synch is a stable frequency or a modulated pattern of energy. IF it is modulated, if the modulation is of any serious complexity, then what science has done is found the manifestation (in mortal realms) of what in other realms of thought is referred to as the “soul”… a pattern of energy that could exist independent of the location where it was first observed.
As an early mentor of mine was fond of saying: fascinating!
