The Dems crossed the Red Sea and were saved from drowning. Now the GOP, looking for a scapegoat, all turn on Trump. Not to defend Trump, but hey, nearly the entire party with a few exceptions supported him at every turn. Now they spit him out as though their mid-term election failures were caused by him. Why not ask what they as a party might have done these few past years that they had not done?
Opinion Republican Elites Might Be Done With Trump, but He’s Not Done With Them.

Yup. And sight unseen, just a guess, I’ll guess that those who were brave enough to be his open critics are the ones who are not treating him any worse than they did. Honor among adversaries and all that jazz.
The Republicans absorbed a nearly lethal dose of CNF/Globalism toxin back around the turn of the century when Dick was their boy and the big boy’s main handler. When they (as a party, most likely led by John followed by a reformed and repentant Mitt) told the CNF “no, we will no longer betray our nation in the name of international trade, build your own, ours are no longer up for a firesale” things got ugly. Question I’ve been wondering is the punk populist crew who own the party now a thing inflicted on them by the CNF for revenge, or… were the surviving legitimate conservatives so desperate for manpower they recruited them, and then lost control of their own weapon?
Politics. Not as much skin, but so much more interesting than a Bazillion soap opera.
