My grt grt granddad was in the Battle of Cerro Gordo. Although the American’s won, he came out of it with a lifelong disability and his brother was killed by a sniper. A Mexican General said at the time that they would regain Texas and other lands without firing a shot. They would do it through population. America was a bully. Pushed the native Americans off of their lands and seized land that clearly belonged to Mexico. We fled Kings and then enslaved and oppressed others. It was not a noble history and there is no justification. It sure as hell wasn’t “Christian”.
