Yup. Good article. And the concept of modularity is not limited to biological based life, it also applies to the life forms evolving at higher complexity than the human where individual humans form the modules of interconnected social entities whose nervous system is the human created digital domains… the environment of the silicon based collective entities which are well on their way (if not already there!) to being fully self aware creatures competing for survival in their own environment. Evolution never sleeps, and evolution has only one objective… the formation of more ever more complex life forms.
