I am sadly amazed that people cannot see what they are looking at. The most rational answer for the statistics presented in this article is that a great many people, primarily Republicans in the pro-Trump camp, have been and continue to be emotionally manipulated below the intellectual levels of thought. Brainwashed, to use the old term.
This is not the first time such an anomaly has surfaced on the political scene. The degree of Messiah hero worship burdened on Pres Obama was equally unnatural, and all things allowed for IMO most likely derived from the same sources.
Heads up people, the modern technologies of communication coupled with weaponized psychology allows for some very subtle attacks on freedom where freedom actually begins, which is between the ears of those intended to become enslaved without ever noticing the nature of their chains.
