Hmmmm… question. Would a “hunt to extinction” campaign against any one social/professional demographic, waged by the remainder of the people against the one, qualify as a civil war if the target demographic did not mount an armed defense of their own survival? IMO if the full truth of the last twenty some years was widely known, accepted, by the full spectrum of Americans the most likely scenario would be the mother of all witch hunts, not a war.
