Hmmm, and again hmmm… interesting. The United States won the cold war by overdriving the Russian economy into self destructing by taking advantage of its’ position as a powerhouse of civilian production to fund an oversize military. The Russian economy could not support matching the American’s expenditures, they didn’t have the civilian profits to maintain a balance. But, that was then and this is now. Now the fact is that America has no real advantage in civilian production, in point of fact we’ve fallen well away from that to be at a serious disadvantage. So… the question is who, knowing that the best of political manipulation involves trying to recycle a strategy that worked once but won’t work twice, is playing the “we’ll do it again card” counting on beating the United States at their own game? Whoever they are they have to be playing from the same position of advantage the United States once enjoyed. Oh poop… did I say China operating under the command of the corporate neo-fascist? No? Whew… that was close. Wouldn’t want to kibbitz on future history and spoil anyone’s surprise.
