Do believe it was President Teddy Roosevelt said “speak softly, and carry a big stick.” President Trump obviously took half of his advice.
I for one feel better that Iran’s ambition to use nuclear weapons to enforce a primitive theocracy on the world has been stalled for another decade or two. And equally, where the weapon is dangerous in the extreme the will and desire to use said weapon is worse, and that? That is a matter of denying access to that weapon until the owner is mature enough, psychologically stable enough, to have possession and control of said weapon.
You DO NOT send a troubled and unhappy second grader to school carrying a fully loaded “Dirty Harry” special (aka .44 magnum revolver) for show and tell.
