I’ve always thought the top of the federal tax scale, both individual and corporate, should be adjusted to reflect the number of unemployed and poverty level under employed in the nation. The fewer folks struggling to stay alive the lower the taxes on the wealthy. In essence, provide a viable motive to work people at a lower gross profit margin on their labor, and take your gains from the reduced tax rate paid on all profits. Just my version of Democratic Socialism applied to a capitalist economy.
