Ah, TheAtlantic. There are many things that can be said about their attitude and approach, but a lack of high drama isn’t one of them. Someday, in a better place of the mind, they might eventually realize their panache for overstated drama is what seeds the cycle of contempt between they and theirs and me and mine. This one though is generating a bit of confusion. I’m not sure if having an anthropologist try and hustle a liberal agenda talking point on me by comparing modern American’s to Aztec sacrifices would be an apogee example of their form, or perigee to the point of impact. Gonna have to think about that one.
