chuckle The Metaverse. Sounds to me like the collective entity ceDigitalUtopia just realized that reality is a messy business that is very resistant to any kind of sane and sensible programming. They haven’t realized that pretty much every utopian scheme ever implemented has gone through something similar (attempting to limit contact with that which is not within the utopian effort) when Reality began to deconstruct the portions of the scheme that do not run in compatible balance with many thousands of years of human social evolution. Most utopian efforts wind up as a utopian tyranny before the end.
Or, to put the sentiment into other words? It is is a fact you cannot program what you do not understand, and all you have to do is look at the social media driven mess of modern politics to realize that ceDigitalUtopia does not understand nearly as much about the Human Dynamic as it thinks it does… very much a case of being a great deal more confidant than competent.
