I wonder if anyone has ever pointed out to Mr. MacAskill that if one approaches money as if money represents a unit of energy, the energy of human life, then balancing the social systems of humanity into ethical and sustainable relationships becomes much, much easier? It allows the philosophers (by analogy) to avail themselves of what the scientists and engineers have learned in the process of accidentally creating this mess in the first place.
