So long as the things being purchased with the UBI involve creating a large “carbon footprint” to produce the scheme might even work for awhile. But at the end of the day the atmosphere doesn’t care about economics, so what happens if the people (who expect their UBI) have learned how to live a full sustainable, low carbon emissions lifestyle that defeats climate change but doesn’t create enough pollution to fund the whole affair?? Devil is always in the details found in the future.

much silliness. UBI- like welfare will create MORE dependency not less. In fact it will drag down the economy… as we saw during the covid era… people were given payments and increased “unemployment ” benefits and a huge number dropped out of the workforce- worse wages in non-skill jobs skyrocketed and so did prices…. yeah lets not shoot ourselves in the foot over a fantasy… esp. since we’ve known this would happen going back to the 18th century in UK!!!
