Buddha is really a rank or position not a name… there are literally thousands… but most westerners only know the “Great Buddha” Siddhartha ….. and few know there are several branches of the sect… its an offshoot of the Brahmic (hindu ) faith but endures as a philosophy along side many native religions such as the Japanese shinto…
