very childish oversimplification…. first of all obamacare demanded total coverage- one couldnt pick and choose as previously…and the Ins comps HAD to insure everything so costs were spread across all policies- thats how it works. we have the standard and high options which really arent that different…. in the past I could get coverage for pre-existing conditions but usually there was a one yr non-applicable period before you could invoke it… while some couldnt get any coverage at all- it was based on price not lack of coverage its self. they rushed it thru without ironing out the fine details and cobbled together a dozen different bills to create- failure. Shouldve just made medicare/medicaid universal… sure we’d pay more taxes but it was standardized.
