We often think of War Memorabilia as weapons or uniforms liberated from dead soldiers on the battle front. These lighters were practical souvenirs American soldiers purchased from PX/BX, or local merchants while on active duty in Vietnam
At the time the Americans joined the hostilities (1955) until the fall of Saigon 2 decades later, many enlisted men smoked. Cigarettes were often a part of the soldiers rations in the field. But what good was a cigarette without a light.
