To the province of Málaga in Andalusia on Spain’s Costa del Sol. From 1969 to 1971, photographer Jürgen Schadeberg (18 March 1931 – 29 August 2020) was there to capture the essence of the place rapidly shifting from rural, fishing-dependency to a major European tourist hotspot.

Having shown us around Glasgow and given us his final interview, Jürgen now takes us back to Spain on the brink of modernity. We see the area around Torremolinos, the fishing village of Los Boliches in Fuengirola, the Fiesta Mayor de Verdiales at Venta El Túnel and the Ronda bullring.
