The FBI has been closely investigating the Jeffrey Epstein case. Several hidden truths have emerged after the Epstein files came out. But now, a shocking claim suggests that the disgraced financier played cupid in Donald Trump and Melania‘s love story. A former assistant of the late accused revealed certain facts about the first couple, which may raise eyebrows.
According to Radar Online, Epstein’s assistant claimed that he had introduced Trump and Melania. This assistant was reportedly a woman who was a former model and worked with the financier from 2005 to 2006. She had claimed this interesting fact about the first couple in July 2019. This was just three days before Jeffrey was arrested and charged with trafficking of minors and conspiracy to commit trafficking of minors.
Now, this claim comes as a shock because both Donald and Melania have always told a different story publicly. In almost all the interviews, including CNN’s Larry King Live in 2005, the first couple has always said that they were at the same party. They were not introduced, but the President himself came to her. “Well, no, we were both at the same party, and that’s how we met. He came to me,” said the first lady in 2005.

In addition, Melania had also revealed that there was a person who was trying to connect Trump to a supermodel at the party. But, he was fixated on his now wife, and that is when he himself approached her. In CNN’s Larry King Live, POTUS had admitted, “I went crazy. I was actually supposed to meet somebody else. This great supermodel was sitting next to Melania. I was supposed to meet the supermodel, and they were saying, ‘Look, there’s so and so.’ I said, ‘Forget about her. Who’s the one on the left?’ and it was Melania.”
According to Harper’s Bazaar profile, in 2016, Melania gave further insight into her encounter with Trump. As per the description, they met at Paolo Zampolli’s Paris Fashion Week party in November 1998. “He wanted my number, but he was with a date, so of course I didn’t give it to him,” she reminisced. “I said, ‘I am not giving you my number; you give me yours, and I will call you.’ I wanted to see what kind of number he would give me – if it was a business number, what is this? I’m not doing business with you.” But to her surprise, Donald gave her all his numbers and asked her to call.
In an earlier interview, Zampolli was questioned about Epstein’s presence at the party. He had firmly denied the reports that he was present. Further, he also claimed that it was he who had introduced Trump and Melania at the party. This is contrary to what Jeffrey’s assistant has revealed. “The whole world knows I introduced [Donald and Melania],” Paolo said at the time. FLOTUS shared the same story in her 2024 memoir.
Melania had shared a chapter titled How I Met Donald Trump in July 2025. This was after the president’s letter to Epstein was published by The Wall Street Journal. She wrote, “I saw my friend wave at someone behind me. When I turned around, I noticed a man and an attractive blonde woman approaching us. ‘Hi, I’m Donald Trump,’ the man said when he reached my table. ‘Nice to meet you.’ I recognized the name, and I knew he was a businessman or celebrity, but not much else. He put his hand out to shake mine,” she shared. In response, she said, “Hello, I’m Melania.”
