Trump ties path to heaven to campaign donations
Donald Trump told supporters once again he wants to “try and get to Heaven” while framing his political movement as a mission he believes was chosen by God, before asking them for campaign donations.

In a July 26 fundraising email, Trump said he believes God saved him from an assassination attempt in 2024 “for one reason: TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.” He listed his past political victories and claimed he was “made” to answer a “Call to Duty,” but said he could not do it alone.

The message then shifted into a fundraising appeal, asking supporters to contribute $15 as part of a “24 HOUR TRUMP FUNDRAISING BLITZ.” The email presents loyalty to the MAGA movement and financial support for Trump’s political efforts as part of a larger struggle against his opponents, repeatedly invoking themes of faith, sacrifice, and destiny.
Trump has frequently used personal stories, religious language, and references to existential battles in appeals to his supporters, turning those themes into calls for donations.
Trump’s PAC has raised over $400 million since the 2024 election.
