The first thing the progressives really need to understand is that this IS NOT a left-right thing… it is an inner-outer thing. To be specific, it is a matter of fully understanding how to balance the dual reality everyone lives… the inner reality where memory and imagination and emotion have equal voracity with the outer reality provided by the sense stream where Causality is King over the realms of absolute reality ruling from the powers of fact and the laws of science.
A major weapon of the cultural warfare waged against the western cultures is the still ongoing campaign (by public education as the minion of Empire Academia’s Kingdom of Psychology) to negate that understanding (creating them a fine client base) and leaving the population vulnerable to the manipulations of the mechanisms of ‘tardation where compliance to radical political ideologies (and yes, the right as vulnerable as the left same-same) is the antidote offered for the affliction, much to the benefit of the aggressor cultures.
Left and right is just the polarity of the attack, the weapon is effective regardless of the population shifting one way or another… they still must comply, or suffer.
