How much they talk, and how little they know. Setting aside the current events report on Ms. Swift’s success what is left is a civilized rant on the subject of how “hostile sexism” is influencing the situation. I will put forward a couple of thoughts on that.
First, it is always easier to inspire and motivate a revolution, an uprising, than to motivate enduring success. The rebel has someone else to blame , the succesful have no one but themselves to blame for what is not happy. Without that “hostile sexism” Feminism, as a cause and reason to believe, collapses… a fact the girls are running into more and more often.
Second, and a very critical point… in the old days if a man and a woman went into competition on some point if the woman won she could and did harvest a massive boost in status and stature from her sisters where if the man won he enjoyed no such support. What do you mean, trying to claim bragging rights claiming victory over a woman? I give you the source of the hostility, the boys feel the playing field is distinctly tilted in regards to the rewards that matter to heart and soul.
The boys did it to themselves, no argument there. The shift being seen is the backwash from the younger males starting to reverse that self inflicted handicap even the most noble of patriarchal compassion imparts.
So, distilled to an old saying of folk wisdom? Sisters, BE CAREFUL what you wish for…. you just might get it and then YOU will be the succesful with no one but themselves to blame.
