what a load of malarky!!! The colonists were forced to leave unprepared and at the wrong time of the year… thus the first yr they starved… but by the second thanks to their plows etc they were producing fairly well… and with their guns they were able to kill quite a lot of game. And fishing …like anywhere else wasnt that hard. By the first thanksgivings feast the colonists were well established… the native taught them the myth of the 3 sisters… planting corn ,squash and green beans together… not that the colonists needed it… but the attempts of the local tribes to force the English into war alliances are what caused the split between them (just as it did in Virginia) but we know all about the trials and tribulations theyre taught in schools….
