The word “exactly” is more than a bit of an overstatement, but from what was said the academics investigating are (finally! took ’em long enough) beginning to play in the same ballpark. What is going to be very interesting to watch is the fate of their research: it contradicts a great deal of their demographics standing assumptions and biases. Will it be allowed to stand and be expanded on, or will it be swept under the rug while those who originated it suffer a strange series of misfortunes in their lives away from work? A bit of a test of ethic on academia as a whole.
