I think the most telling thing my father ever wrote was a quote about Ulysses saying, ” Neither the regard for my aged father or my love of Penelope, could stop me from the need to experience life.”
Dad truly went on the heroes journey and returned a man that I respect more than anyone I’ve known.
Unfortunately as Bob Dylan wrote my journey didn’t go as planned:
“I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail.
Poisoned in the bushes an’ blown out on the trail.”
