We have also been ‘adapting’ since we crawled out of the ooze. We will have to continue to adapt. Untold millions have died over the centuries from famine and disease. As always, the poor take it in the neck. Until we can evolve past tribalism and worshipping billionaires, we are going to chase our tails. There ARE those who are working on solutions and new innovations while others fight and point fingers.
The world needs to blend. Us pale folks could use some dark pigmentation in the future climate. There are those who think they need guns for the future. What happens when you run out of bullets? Why not prepare your children for the changing world. It won’t be as much of a shock if they are prepared. Water and fossil fuels MUST be addressed. Yes, there will be mass casualties from the effects of climate change, but there were in the human past that caused migration. I don’t think we are toast yet. There are more people who want to live, than there are gun clutchers and flag wavers. We need to reward innovation that helps the planet, not the wealthy. We need to give our children hope and empower them to find new ways to adapt to a changing world. War will always be waiting, but we should be throwing money towards our children’s future before we decide to wipe ourselves out like barbarians.

Watchman, what of the night?
