Stoicism and Buddhism becoming popular


Stoicism and Buddhism have a striking family resemblance, which is one reason both have become attractive again in modern life. Both teach us how to suffer less by changing our relationship to events rather than trying to control the world. But underneath that resemblance they rest on very different ideas about the self, reality, and the ultimate goal of life.

    Christianity. ” The rain falls on the just and the unjust.” I’m with Mark Twain, who said, ” No, I would rain softly and sweetly on the just, but if I caught a sample of the unjust outdoors I would drown him.”

    I’m tired of putting up with cavemen with smartphones. Your ignorance is NOT as good as my facts and it’s NOT in the Constitution that we have to let a group of zonks destroy the world because THEY are butthurt.
    Vote for civilization or you will end up in a dystopia.
