The Cyber-Security industry is probably the most powerful single argument going that the synonym for the word security is the word tyranny. That the industry even exists is the first phase of the argument, but the second and more damaging portion is that there was a perceived need for the industry in the first place.
Much like the arguments about and around the worlds oldest profession the question is who do you blame? The prostitute or the john?
Fortunately, the answer to the problem is easy. Never trust any electronic device, never put anything on an electronic device you wouldn’t put on a 4’X8′ sign planted on your front lawn, and never, never ever, forget another modernism: the other word for “Free” is “Bait.”
And they wonder why Cynicism is teaching Covid how to be a pandemic. They wonder why the sales numbers on firearms are through the roof. They wonder why their political statistics are starting to graph out looking like a Spirograph (old toy, google it up if you’re not familiar, they’re neat) plot. Yup. Nothing like a socially prescribed insecure voyeurism to make grease for the wheels of society.
